Hublot and WBC team up for the ultimate knockout


Hublot and World Boxing Council (WBC) teamed up for the ultimate knockout – In celebration of the inauguration of the WBC pension fund, Swiss luxury watch brand Hublot created 12 unique “Knockout” King Power WBC timepieces to honor 12 of boxing’s most admired champions, including Mike Tyson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Lennox Lewis, Jeff Fenech, Larry Holmes, Tommy Hearns, Roberto Duran, Azumah Nelson, Julio Cesar Chavez, Oscar De La Hoya and George Foreman. Hublot and WBC co-hosted an exciting evening, at the world famous Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.The 12 watches were auctioned off at the gala dinner raising a total of 1 million USD for the fund.

About the King Power WBC:
The 12 King Power WBC timepieces incorporate the iconic championship belt awarded to the world’s best fighters. The model is a fierce blend of modernism and graphic design. The case is a fusion of satin-finished 18-carat King Gold, black ceramic and titanium with a powerful 48 mm diameter. The timepieces are fitted with a HUB4100 automatic chronograph movement. The first 3-minutes of the 30-minute counter are painted in red to represent a boxing round. The WBC logo is applied on the sapphire crystal case back and reveals a cut out rotor. Each transparent case back is also signed by a different boxing legend. Finally, the timepieces are fitted with a Porosus Hornback green alligator and spare black rubber strap.
