Ithaa, which means mother-of-pearl in Dhivehi, is the world’s first undersea restaurant 16 feet (4.87m) below sea level at the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island in the Maldives. Designed and constructed by M.J. Murphy Ltd which is a design consultancy based in New Zealand, the restaurant offers unparalleled 180° views of sea life while you dine.
The restaurant serves contemporary fusion Maldivian cuisine with Western and Asian influences, and has a capacity of 14 people.
The underwater space also can be transformed into a bedroom by special request.
