It’s hard to resist anything that comes out of the French fashion house Louis Vuitton. For spring, Louis Vuitton Joaillerie has created what might be its most romantic jewelry collection yet. Called “Lockit,” the 15-piece fine jewelry line takes its inspiration from the padlocks that walked the label’s fall 2011 runway. The collection features necklaces, rings and bracelets in 18-karat white, rose and yellow gold, some finished with pavé diamonds.
There’s a sweet story behind the design too. The collection draws on the legend of the Pont des Arts bridge in Paris, where couples attach a padlock to the railing and toss the key into the Seine so their love stays sealed forever. It’s a lovely sentiment to wear on your wrist or around your neck.
