Maximilian Büsser & Friends (MB&F), the Swiss watchmaker known for its avant‑garde “horological machines,” unveiled its fifth model, the HM5 On the Road Again. The distinctive wedge‑shaped case pays homage to the 1970s Amida Digitrend, while its low‑profile lines and rear‑window louvres echo the sleek supercars of that era, most notably the iconic Lamborghini Miura.
“Another distinguishing feature of supercars are throaty exhaust pipes. HM5 has dual exhausts to drain water, in case – like James Bond’s Lotus in ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’ – HM5 gets wet. An inner water-resistant case keeps HM5’s Engine nice and dry.”
Inside of the MB& Horological Machine No. 5 is a movement designed by Jean-François Mojon as well as Vincent Boucard of Chronode. Note that the watch comes on a rubber strap, a first for MB&F.
