Bugatti is honoring its “Bugatti Legends” with a special edition of Veyrons based on the 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse. Six Bugatti Legends will be unveiled in the next 12 months, commemorating the renowned names which have played a crucial role in its history. The first Legend Edition is dedicated to the world-famous motorsports icon Jean-Pierre Wimille, winner of two Bugatti victories at the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. Shining “in blue clear-coated carbon fiber and a light Wimille Bleu paintwork”, the inspiration behind the design of the “Jean-Pierre Wimille” Bugatti Legend is the winning race car from 1937. No changes have been made to the mechanicals, the Bugatti Legend “Jean-Pierre Wimille” is powered by a 8-litre W16 engine, 0-100km/h in 2.6s, 1,200 hp, max torque of 1,500 Nm. Limited to just three units, this first Bugatti Legend debuts at Pebble Beach in August. No word on price yet, but if you have to ask, you can’t afford it.
