BMW Group unveiled its latest concept car, the MINI Superleggera Vision, at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2014, partnering with Italian bespoke sports-car design company Touring Superleggera to create this adorable sports car.
“The MINI SuperleggeraTM Vision elegantly perpetuates what the Classic Mini started 55 years ago: reduction to the essentials. Its energetic, minimalistic design embodies the dynamic essence of an automobile. At the same time it creates unique emotional beauty in combining the past and future of the automotive industry, i.e. traditional coachwork craftsmanship and modern design styling. It was a pleasure for me to design a concept like this.” says Anders Warming, Head of MINI Design.
The vehicle’s structure is predominantly built with substantial aluminum panels, complemented by carbon fiber elements. The interior showcases a sophisticated blend of high-end materials – leather, aluminum, and black chrome – enhancing the car’s clean and elegant design. Interestingly, the MINI team has alluded to a hybrid-electric concept, which represents a fresh and compelling approach. I find this design incredibly captivating. Let’s discuss in the comments – what’s your perspective on this innovative concept?
