American hip-hop star, Jay Z loves Armand de Brignac champagne so much … he has bought the company. Mr. Carter acquired the brand from New York-based Sovereign Brands, after making the company an offer it “simply couldn’t refuse”.

“We are proud to announce that Sovereign Brands, a New York-based wine and spirits company owned by the Berish family, has sold its interest in the Armand de Brignac (‘Ace of Spades’) Champagne brand to a new company led by the globally renowned Shawn ‘Jay Z’ Carter,” Sovereign Brands said in a statement.

Ace of Spades sells for around $300 per bottle, but those with cash to spare can fork out over $275,000 on a special 45-litre Armand de Brignac Rosé Midas bottle.
