Ulysse Nardin introduces a world first, the Ulysse Anchor Tourbillon, the quintessence of avant-garde mechanical technology. The Ulysse Nardin Anchor Tourbillon uses a 44mm-wide case from the Classico collection and is equipped with sapphire crystals on the front and back. Inside is the Caliber UN-178 Manufacture Tourbillon with 29 jewels, beating at 18’000 V/H and a power reserve of seven days. The one-minute tourbillon houses the proprietary Ulysse Anchor Escapement, made entirely from silicium (resistant to damage and friction). The Le Locle-based company spent no less than eight years perfecting this mechanism, in collaboration with Sigatec, a co-owned company specializing in the production of silicium micro-components. Completing the ensemble is a brown or black leather strap with a pin buckle. The Ulysse Nardin Anchor Tourbillon is available in two limited editions of 18 pieces each with pricing starting at $84,400 for the rose gold version and $93,600 for the white gold version.
