Breitling keeps feeding the Bentley partnership and the newest course is the B06 S. Housed in a slightly smaller case measuring 44mm, it answers the one complaint people had about the original B06, which wore large on most wrists.
You can have it in stainless steel or in 18kt red gold. Sapphire crystal with AR coating, 100 meters of water resistance. The movement is the in-house B06, 47 jewels, 28,800 vph, 70 hours of reserve, COSC-certified chronometer chronograph. The spec sheet reads exactly how you would hope.
Then there is the oddball feature, and it is the best part. Breitling dug up a 1926 patent and turned it into the “30-second chronograph.” The big hand circles the dial every 30 seconds, which sounds like a gimmick until you realise it lets you time things to an eighth of a second. That was clever a hundred years ago and it is still clever now.
