The infamous Playboy mansion is up for sale, with a price tag to match its reputation – $200,000,000. Built in 1927 the massive Gothic Tudor-style estate, which has an area of nearly 20,000 square feet (1,858 square meters) features 29 rooms and every amenity imaginable, including a catering kitchen, wine cellar, home theater, separate game house, gym, tennis court, freeform swimming pool with a large, cave-like grotto. Acquired by Playboy Enterprises in 1971 for $1.05 million, the mansion has been home to Hefner and his rotating cast of girlfriends.
“The Playboy Mansion has been a creative center for Hef as his residence and workplace for the past 40 years, as it will continue to be if the property is sold,” said Playboy CEO Scott Flanders in a statement.
