Leica has announced a new special-edition camera honoring the work of iconic music photographer Jim Marshall: the Leica M 246 Jim Marshall Edition Monochrom. The camera stands out with its brass construction and a unique “Laiton” finish, complemented by Jim Marshall’s signature engraved on the top. This kit is a powerhouse for monochrome photography, bundled with a Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 lens and a durable brown leather strap. Leica has a habit of turning their cameras into actual pieces of art through these kinds of partnerships. A great example is the Leica X2 Gagosian Edition, where they teamed up with the famous gallery to release just 100 exclusive units. The set is priced at $12,950 and is strictly limited to 50 units. It will be sold exclusively via Leica Stores and Boutiques in North America.

The Leica M 246 Jim Marshall Edition set includes:
-Leica M Monochrom (Type 246) in Brass and Laiton Finish
-Summilux-M 50 mm f/1.4 ASPH in Brass and Laiton Finish with round Brass and Laiton Lens Hood
