Rolex has done it again, introducing at the biggest watch event of the year, BaselWorld 2018, the Rolex GMT-Master II Pepsi in Stainless Steel. Housed in a Oystersteel case measuring 40mm, it comes equipped with a bidirectional rotatable bezel and a 24-hour graduated two-colour Cerachrom insert in red and blue ceramic.
The biggest news about this watch is the new caliber – Inside is the Swiss automatic Rolex in-house caliber 3285 with 31 jewels, beating at 28,800 vph with a power reserve of 70 hours. It has Paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers. Rolex also says it took out ten patents to complete the movement.
Price for the irresistible Rolex GMT-Master II Pepsi in Oystersteel and on the Jubilee bracelet is 8,800 CHF (approx $9,250 USD).
