Inspired by architecture and aircraft design British shop Auto Fabrica unveiled their latest project, Type 18. Commissioned by BMW Motorrad to show off at the annual Wheels & Waves festival in Biarritz, the bike is based on the R nineT Scrambler and has some eye-catching features: handcrafted aluminum elements integrated into the frame, custom speedometer by Gauge, Alcantara seat with its chic ‘A’ badge, 3D-printed holder for the headlight, aluminum tank, hand-made exhaust pipes with the curved mufflers and plenty of other smaller details.
“We aren’t excited about many bikes straightaway. But the R nineT Scrambler definitely ignited the fire in us.” shared Bujar Muharremi. “The bike is a retro-modern, conceptual design study that pushes the limits of vehicle design.”
The British shop manufactures its own covers for the cylinder heads. “We love them, they are really unique,” say the brothers.
Auto Fabrica will be taking limited Type 18 orders, if you want one..you’d better hurry!
