Leica CL 100 Jahre Bauhaus: Limited Edition Bauhaus Museum Dessau

Leica CL 100 Jahre Bauhaus

Leica has unveiled a second minimalist, blacked-out edition of the CL 100 to commemorate the centenary of the Bauhaus movement and the opening of the Bauhaus Museum in Dessau. True to the school’s “form follows function” philosophy, this limited set features a sleek black Leica CL camera paired with a matching Elmarit-TL 18mm f/2.8 ASPH lens and a black leather strap. In a nod to Bauhaus minimalism, the traditional Leica logo has been blacked out and minimized, while the official Bauhaus logo is discreetly emblazoned on both the camera body and the strap. With only 150 units available worldwide, this piece of German design history is sold exclusively through Leica Stores and Boutiques. Pre-orders are now open for $3,950, though given the limited production, they are expected to sell out quickly.

Cameras aren’t the only category where Leica has been pushing its design philosophy, the brand has also ventured into new territory with Leica’s venture into the watchmaking business, proving that its minimalist aesthetic translates well beyond the viewfinder.”
