Porsche Design has just unveiled the 75 Years of Porsche Edition, a new limited edition of their Chronograph 1, commemorating the remarkable 75-year journey of Porsche. The design still honors the language established by the first watch developed by Professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche in 1972.
Housed in a 40.8 mm black carbide-coated titanium case accompanied by complementing side pushers and an inner tachymeter bezel, it features a a sapphire crystal caseback, an engraved “75 Years Porsche” logo on the caseback, and a winding rotor shaped like the iconic Fuchs alloy wheel with the Porsche emblem in the center.
The anti-reflective, matte-black dial showcases a combination of black and white accents, elegantly displaying the modern Porsche Design logo with distinctive lettering.
At its core resides the Porsche Design WERK 01.140 caliber beating at 28,800 vph with 25 jewels and a generous power reserve of 48 hours. This limited edition chronograph is complemented by a black leather strap with matching black stitching. Alternatively, it can be paired with a textile/leather strap featuring light blue decorative stitching and a woven red stripe in the middle, that can be swapped out with the quick-change system.
Limited to just 475 pieces the new Porsche Design Chronograph 1 – 75 Years Porsche Edition is priced at $11,000 and available for pre-order now on Porsche Design’s website.
