Lexus, the renowned luxury division of Toyota, takes the next step in its journey as a purveyor of luxury lifestyles with the introduction of the LY680 yacht. This evolution of the LY650 (previously measuring 19.94 meters or 65 feet 5 inches) expands to an impressive 20.66 meters (67 feet 9.4 inches), boasting an extended length and thoughtfully designed entertaining areas.
The exterior embodies Lexus’ design philosophy of L-finesse, while the interior has been painstakingly designed to create a cosy and comfortable environment, paying close attention to even the tiniest elements. When it comes to performance, Lexus strives to deliver a driving experience that instills confidence, with stable maneuverability, exceptional ride comfort, and a serene atmosphere.
The concept for the Luxury Yacht is “to feel like a hideout in the middle of the sea, providing a space where discerning customers can feel free and at ease.”
The LY 680 is propelled by a pair of Volvo Penta IPS engines, offering customers the flexibility to choose between two power options: 1,050 hp or 1,350 hp for each engine unit. The yacht features three bedrooms equipped with a combined total of six beds. However, it has the capacity to comfortably accommodate up to 15 guests simultaneously.
The flybridge has been extended by a generous 1,400mm, now boasting a spacious lounge sofa and a barbecue grill, creating a perfect environment for entertaining and enjoying panoramic ocean views. Furthermore, the swimming platform has been expanded by 700mm, offering even more space for swimming, sunbathing, or easy access to the water for activities like personal watercraft adventures, diving, or fishing.
A scaled-down version of the LY680, measuring 1/20 of its actual size, will be showcased at the Japan International Boat Show 2024. The event is scheduled to take place at Pacifico Yokohama from March 21st to 24th, 2024.
Delivery is scheduled for the spring of 2026. No word on price. TBA
