Franck Muller and S.T. Dupont, united by their passion for art and innovation, have collaborated to create the Master Lighter. Revealed at this year’s WPHH (The World Presentation of Haute Horlogerie) in Genthod, Switzerland, this timepiece is a unique addition to the world of Haute Horlogerie. Following over two years of meticulous design and engineering, the Franck Muller x S.T. Dupont Master Lighter marks a significant milestone for both brands, signifying their first-ever collaboration. The Master Lighter combines watchmaking and luxury accessories, creating a chic and functional piece.
Encased in mirror-polished stainless steel, the Master Lighter features S.T. Dupont’s signature diamond-head-patterned lighter. A unique design element is the open case, showcasing the intricate workings of Franck Muller’s Calibre FM 1740-LI-STD Skeleton movement and the watch’s lacquered guilloche dial with hands. For managing the watch’s functions, a discreet side crown is incorporated. Two panes of sapphire crystal ensure flawless visibility: one protecting the front dial and hands, and another revealing the beauty of the skeleton movement on the back.
The Master Lighter is designed to make a statement. It has a solid build, weighing approximately 10.5 ounces and measuring 2.5 inches long, 1.5 inches wide, and 0.75 inches thick.
Franck Muller will offer four Master Lighter variants: white, blue, black (with Super-LumiNova numerals), and the ‘Color Dreams’ model, which is the only one with images available so far. Each variant is limited to 88 pieces. Prices are $56,400 for the blue and white dials, $58,700 for the black, and $65,300 for the ‘Color Dreams’ model.
