Inspired by the Goliath frog, the world’s largest living frog from Western Africa, G-Shock unveils its latest MR-G iteration of the iconic Frogman: the MRG-BF1000RG-3A. This watch features a strong design with more than 70 external parts, a colour palette inspired by the military, and complementary materials. It features a titanium case and bezel enhanced with deep-layer hardening and a titanium carbide coating, and measures 56 x 49.7 x 18.6 millimeters with a total weight of 132 grams.
Along with a number of other cutting-edge features, the watch has a Dura Soft fluoro rubber band and a Ti64 titanium buckle. It also has Tough Solar power and Multi-Band 6 automatic radio time adjustment. The watch also offers 200m water resistance and a Hand Shift function, allowing you to reposition the hands for an unobstructed view of the dial.
The titanium screw-lock case back features a press-fitted sapphire crystal, ensuring airtightness and optimal antenna reception. An engraved FROGMAN character and green vapour deposition are additional elegant details.
The orange accents on the indicator and seconds hands provide a dynamic touch, and beige indexes with a Neobrite coating ensure visibility in low light. Thick layers of phosphorescent paint are hand-applied by artisans for long-lasting illumination.
Set for release in mid-May, the MR-G Frogman MRG-BF1000RG-3A will be priced at $4,300. While not a limited edition, production will be naturally limited due to the intricate manufacturing process. Fore more info visit G-SHOCK’s website.
