A Los Angeles property once owned by legendary director Francis Ford Coppola—and the childhood home of his granddaughter, filmmaker Gia Coppola—is now on the market for $2.25 million. Best known for his work on The Godfather films, Coppola bought the Spanish Revival-style home in 1922 and kept it in the family for many years, eventually transferring it to his granddaughter Gia Coppola and his daughter-in-law, costume designer Jacqui Getty.

A Storied Past of A-List Parties

While residing in the house, Jacqui Getty and Gia Coppola threw extravagant parties that attracted celebrities from Hollywood, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Demi Moore, and other well-known figures.

“Rather than going out, we hosted parties here,” Getty told Mansion Global of her early days in the home as a young mom. “Even the Smashing Pumpkins—who were playing at the Hollywood Bowl—skipped their afterparty to come here instead because I was hosting one for Wolfgang Tillman. There was always something happening at our house.”

With classic features like wrought-iron balconettes, period wood trim, arched French doors, and red roof tiles that evoke the house’s illustrious past, this 1922-built home is a living example of Old Hollywood.According to Jacqui Getty, the kitchen is the centre of the house, with a rustic breakfast nook looking out over a lush garden oasis created by Studio Art Luna. Each guest room has an en suite bathroom, and the main suite opens onto a private balcony.
