Riva, the legendary Italian yacht builder, has officially shattered its own records with the launch of the Riva 54 Metri—the brand’s largest superyacht to date. Unveiled at the Ferretti Group’s Ancona shipyard, this 54-meter masterpiece, named Sairu, marks a new era of size and elegance for the iconic brand. True to Riva’s heritage of design excellence, the 54 Metri was penned by its long-time partner, Officina Italiana Design. The project was a strategic collaboration, bringing together the Ferretti Group’s engineering team and its Strategic Product Committee, notably chaired by Piero Ferrari.
“Now every yachting enthusiast and Riva fan has a new boat to dream about. A paragon of beauty and elegance, Riva 54METRI showcases the unstoppable momentum of the world’s most famous shipyard in its pursuit of innovation and its celebration of the art of cruising. The largest Riva ever built right now is the new wonder of the sea, a masterpiece of style by Officina Italiana Design that will turn heads in every marina and on every stretch of water on the planet,” said Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi.

A New Flagship of Style and Scale
Boasting an artfully sculpted profile and a harmonious color scheme of Moon Grey, London Grey, and Bright Black, the Riva 54 Metri is further enhanced by polished steel elements and Riva’s distinctive aquamarine waterline. At 177 feet (54 meters) long and 28 feet (8.5 meters) wide, it is the most sizeable yacht within the brand’s fleet to date.
Opulence at Sea: Cabins and Interior Design
The Riva 54 Metri has four well-appointed cabins that can accommodate up to 10 people, with the main deck’s bow housing the opulent primary suite. With five double cabins alongside a captain’s cabin, the vessel can comfortably house up to 11 crew members.

Elegant marble surfaces, such as Sahara Noir and Bianco Rhino, natural teak panelling, and high-end leather finishes are all features of the interior design.

The Pinnacle of Marine Technology
The helm station features cutting-edge equipment, including dual X-band radars, a Starlink antenna, ECDIS navigation, three 27-inch touchscreens, and a 44-inch monitor. The first unit runs on twin 1,920 hp MTU engines, while the standard setup includes 1,700 hp engines. The shipyard claims that special attention was paid to noise reduction and acoustic comfort, which was accomplished by installing two electric rudders and four electric stabiliser fins.

The Official Launch and Sea Trials
Final outfitting and sea trials are planned over the next few weeks. Riva has not provided details regarding the yacht’s performance, including maximum speed. View the official launch event in Ancona in the video below.
