German luxury automaker Audi has unveiled the R8 China Edition and R8 Limited Edition, both tailored to local tastes. The Audi R8 China Edition features exclusive color combinations, including Malibu Blue bodywork with Suzuka Grey sideblades or a Suzuka Grey body with Malibu Blue sideblades. It also includes LED headlights, ultra-light high-strength carbon fiber, 19-inch wheel hubs in a 5 twin-spoke “Y” design, and a carbon-matte rear spoiler. Powered by a 5.2 FSI V10 mid-engine, the R8 China Edition produces 386kW and 530Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.9 seconds. Only 80 units will be produced.
The Audi R8 Limited Edition comes in a unique Nordic Gold finish, with carbon-matte front spoiler, flics, sideblades, exterior mirrors, fixed rear wing, and enlarged diffuser. It is powered by a lightweight 5.2L V10 mid-engine and features Audi quattro permanent four-wheel drive with a rear-biased setup. It also reaches 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.9 seconds. Only 30 units will be available in China.
