This is for people who aren’t superstitious at all! A replica of the world’s most famous ship is under construction by Australian billionaire Cliver Palmer and his company Blue Star Line. The Titanic II will feature similar Edwardian-period decor, with nine floors and 840 cabins that can hold 2,400 passengers and 900 crew members.

“The new Titanic will of course have modern evacuation procedures, satellite controls, digital navigation and radar systems and all those things you’d expect on a 21st century ship,” said James McDonald, the global marketing director of Blue Star Line.

The new ship will be practically identical to the original luxury liner and is expected to set sail in 2018, from Eastern China to Dubai.

Titanic II will have first, second, and third class tickets available.

Update 2026: Titanic II will have first, second, and third class tickets available. In an April 2026 update reported by the Mirror, Clive Palmer revealed that the £400m project—launched in 2012—now faces a further five-year delay due to post-COVID shipyard backlogs, pushing the maiden voyage well beyond the planned 2027 departure from Southampton.
