Oceanco just dropped the first stunning interior shots of Leviathan, their groundbreaking 111-meter hybrid-electric superyacht, fresh off delivery in November 2025. As one of the Dutch yard’s largest builds to date, she’s now cruising under the ownership of Valve co-founder and Oceanco shareholder Gabe Newell.
“Leviathan represents a new philosophy of yachting – one that places greater purpose at the heart of design, ownership and operations,” says Deniz de Koningh, Project Director at Oceanco. “The owner’s vision sets a forward-thinking example of how yachts can be built and used with intent. We are excited to see the influence she may have in shaping the future of the industry.”

Collaborative Design & Acoustic Excellence
The yacht reflects tight teamwork among Oceanco, Mark Berryman Design, Lateral Naval Architects and MARIN, with a shared aim of maximum silence and comfort. Sophisticated stabilisers, intensive vibration and ventilation‑acoustic trials and hull optimisation elevate onboard comfort to standards seen in aerospace and high‑end hospitality.

A decorative glass panel on the main staircase honours almost 3,000 people involved in Leviathan’s construction.

Construction started in 2020; the stern arrived at Oceanco’s Zwijndrecht yard in 2022, and the yacht moved to Alblasserdam for outfitting, first seen outside the shed in 2023.
Inside Leviathan: Unprecedented Onboard Amenities
The new images reveal expansive social areas: the bridge deck includes a 15‑station gaming lounge, while the aft deck offers a swimming pool, casual seating and an open‑air cinema.

As part of Gabe Newell’s Inkfish fleet for scientific and ocean exploration, Leviathan replaces the conventional beach club with a dive centre, research laboratory, 3D‑printing workshop and a full onboard hospital.

Crew Amenities and the 15-Station Gaming Lounge
Additional highlights include a communal dining room for 54, two racing simulators and multiple casual lounges. Crew amenities feature oak‑and‑wenge finished private areas plus shared facilities such as a basketball court, whirlpool and gym.

Sustainable Engineering & Low-Maintenance Design
Leviathan swaps traditional high‑maintenance elements—like teak decks and wooden handrails—for composite materials and full‑height glass superstructure bulkheads, cutting upkeep while preserving style. Durable finishes such as honed stone and natural wool carpets were selected to reduce repetitive maintenance.

“The goal was to consider where the most valuable experiences occur for the community of people onboard,” says owner Gabe Newell. “By increasing crew productivity, we can enable them to focus more on engaging with guests and creating meaningful experiences for everyone.”
Hybrid-Electric Propulsion System
Leviathan uses a diesel‑electric propulsion system paired with battery energy storage, enabling prolonged emission‑free operation; Oceanco also disclosed in 2023 that the yacht features an advanced wastewater treatment system meeting stringent environmental standards.
