Officine Panerai continues its annual tradition with a special limited‑edition watch, the Radiomir Regatta, created for the sixth edition of the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge.This year’s chapter is the Radiomir Regatta, and it landed in 500 pieces, which for Panerai basically means gone by lunchtime.
The case is brushed titanium, 47 mm, light on the wrist despite the size. Inside sits the OPXXI, Panerai’s automatic chronograph workhorse with 40 jewels and a 42-hour reserve. The stopwatch reads to 1/8th of a second. Anyone who has watched a yacht race finish knows why that matters.
Turn it over. Perlage on the bridges, Côtes de Genève striping, all of it applied by hand. Kind of a funny touch on a watch meant for salt spray and rope burn, but that contrast is exactly the point.
Price was set accordingly. Sailors with Panerai money rarely ask.
