Bell & Ross has two new dive watches on the way. The BR02 Phantom and BR02 Steel hit stores in August 2011 and both are built for serious underwater work. Each one runs on a Swiss automatic mechanical movement, the ETA 2892, tucked inside a sturdy 44mm steel case. Water resistance goes all the way down to 1000 meters. That is deeper than most people will ever need. The two models have their own personalities. The Steel version shows off a carbon fiber dial that catches the light nicely. The Phantom goes full stealth mode with a black PVD stainless steel case and a Clou de Paris dial. Both will land at select authorized Bell & Ross dealers soon. Worth a look if you’re in the market for a proper dive watch.
