The renowned Swiss watchmaker has introduced the TAG Heuer Mikrogirder 2000 concept watch. The Mikrogirder is the fastest mechanical regulator ever crafted and tested, offering a 1/2,000th-of-a-second chronograph that beats at 1,000 Hz (7,200,000 beats per hour). Powered by a dual-barrel movement, the concept watch uses separate barrels for the chronograph and for the timekeeping mechanism. The Mikrogirder 2000 resembles the 2011 Mikrotimer but is distinguished by the “bullhead” placement of the crown and chronograph pushers.
