Porsche Design studio celebrates the 40th anniversary of the company with a limited edition set called the “40Y of Iconic Products” which includes a watch P’6540 Heritage Chronograph and a pair of sweet looking aviator sunglasses P’8478.
“Forty years ago, Professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche founded the Porsche Design studio and his own luxury brand Porsche De-sign. And for the past four decades, the studio has produced numerous classics of superlative design. In fact, Porsche Design developed an entirely new category of luxury products: engineered luxury. The first product was the black Chronograph I, which immediately revolutionised the watch industry. The exclusive spectacles that followed became the world’s most successful sunglasses ever. The two items are still available to this day in their original form. And the reason for this is mainly be-cause of the special “iconic style” of Porsche Design and the luxury brand’s conviction that innovative functionality must be presented in its most beautiful form.”
