German tuning firm Carlsson has announced the 2012 Mercedes-Benz CGL 45 Royal Last Edition. This new upgrade kit for the German crossover comes with sophisticated two-paint exterior and extensive interior upgrades, fine leather, 22-inch alloy wheels, and will be exclusively available in China only. The reason why this tuning kit is available only in China is because a local car dealer by the name of Zhongsheng Group Holdings Ltd has acquired a 70% stake in Carlsson. Under the hood of the German SUV comes with a V6 3.0-liter diesel engine that pumps out 310 hp (231 kW / 314 PS) and 516 lb.-ft. (698 Nm) of torque, and the top-of-the-line 5.5-liter V8 model gets a new output of 435 horsepower and 442 lb/ft of torque (598 Nm). Only 30 examples will be produced by the tuning company.
