British car maker Aston Martin celebrates its centenary with the debut of the CC100 Speedster Concept. Inspired by the lines of the DBR1 race car of the 1950s, constructed in fewer than six months at Aston Martin’s global headquarters in Gaydon, England, the car is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine featuring a sequential gearbox and carbon fiber body, it accelerates from 0–60 mph in four seconds with a top speed limited to 180 mph.
“CC100 is the epitome of everything that is great about Aston Martin,” said Aston Martin CEO Dr. Ulrich Bez. “It represents our fantastic sporting heritage, our exceptional design capability, our superb engineering know-how and, above all, our adventurous spirit!”
