Golden Dreams, the Swiss luxury company known for creating some of the world’s most over-the-top iPhones, revealed its latest creation at Baselworld. The lineup includes a limited edition iPhone in CarbonGold, a stunning hand-engraved dragon iPhone and a limited edition Mansory series.
So what exactly is CarbonGold? As the name suggests, it is real carbon fiber coated with 99.9% pure gold, developed in-house by Golden Dreams. Creating it took a cutting-edge technique the company devised to deposit pure gold directly onto the carbon fiber textile, with every piece finished by hand in Switzerland.
The second piece pays a tribute to the Chinese culture, and features a stunning hand engraved dragon inserted on red alligator leather; this special iPhone5 requires over 35hours of craftsmanship.
The last one , the limited edition Mansory is mirror polished and covered with 24ct gold. Each phone is 100% customized in Switzerland and guaranteed by the knowhow of Swiss jewellers and watch makers. Limited edition of only 50 pieces with a price tag of €4,900 (Approx. $6,407 USD). Golden Dreams had already offered the iPhone 5 in gold the previous November, with a Desert Edition in Mississippi alligator leather and a Gold Edition 24ct.
