Swiss luxury watchmaker RJ-Romain Jerome unveiled the Moon Orbiter Tourbillon, a flying tourbillon with striking three-dimensional architecture. This timepiece pays homage to space exploration by incorporating melted fragments from the Apollo 13 command module into its structure and authentic moon dust into the dial.
The tonneau-shaped steel case measures 49 mm wide, 45 mm long, and 20 mm thick. It features an innovative lug system mounted on pneumatic cylinders, ensuring exceptional wearer comfort and a secure fit for the black alligator strap.
Inside, the hand-wound Caliber RJ3000-A movement displays hours and minutes on the right, a flying tourbillon on the left, and a power reserve indicator at the bottom of the dial. The exhibition caseback reveals the intricate mechanics through a large sapphire crystal. Limited to just 25 pieces, the Moon Orbiter Tourbillon retails for $115,000.
