Introducing the latest vision from Italo Fontana: the U-Boat Capsule. Drawing inspiration from deep-sea exploration capsules, this limited-edition timepiece features a groundbreaking patented system that clamps the crystal to the case via external fixing levers, ensuring the watch can withstand extreme pressure from both internal and external forces.
The Capsule is commanded by a bold 50mm x 23.5mm Grade 5 titanium case and is available in two sophisticated dial options: black and beige. Powering the movement is the Swiss automatic U-BOAT caliber U28 (based on the ETA 2824-2) with 25 jewels, vibrating at 28,800 vph with a 38-hour power reserve. To complete the rugged yet refined look, the watch is paired with a naturally aged, treated leather strap. This exclusive release is limited to just 288 pieces; pricing is yet to be announced.
The Capsule wasn’t the only ultra-rare U-Boat release that March — designer Italo Fontana also unveiled the Classico Phoenix, a striking piece featuring a mother-of-pearl dial cracked and filled with 180 black diamonds.
