Riccardo Tisci has unveiled his debut collection for Nike on Instagram. A big fan of the Air Force 1, the Givenchy creative director has designed four different basketball shoes, based on the venerable Nike Air Force 1.
“The shoe is universal yet somehow very personal,” Tisci explained to Fashion Telegraph. “I travel all over the world, and I see people wearing the Air Force 1, and they wear it in so many different ways. And so I was thinking, what is the essence of the Air Force 1? And how do I take that essence and make my own statement?”
Named “The Nike R.T. Air Force 1 Collection,” the capsule collection will be available in white from March 1, and in black from April 1.Do you like Riccardo Tisci’s designs?
