Meet the Rolls-Royce Ghost V-Specification

Rolls-Royce officially announced the Ghost V-Specification yesterday, a pricier, more powerful take on their already expensive Ghost lineup. For people who somehow find a 570-horsepower Rolls too boring.

The engine? Still that twin-turbo 6.6-liter V12 they’ve been using forever. But now instead of 570 HP, you get 601. That’s 442 kW if you’re counting in metric. Mated to an eight-speed automatic, apparently it’ll go from zero to sixty in under 4.7 seconds. Not bad for a luxury sedan. Top speed is limited to 155 mph though..they don’t want you getting too wild.

Color choices are pretty on-brand for Rolls-Royce: Graphite, Black Sapphire, Black Kirsch, Arctic White, and Infinity Black. Wheels are 21-inch part-polished alloys, and if you’re into that flashy look, you can spec chrome exhaust tips too.

Now, the part where most of us will cry into our coffee—the price. In Germany, you’re looking at €330,820 including VAT (that’s the 19% tax Germans deal with). Crunch the numbers with current exchange rates and you get roughly $450,480 USD. Which, honestly, buys a lot of regular cars.
