Meet the V8 Wet Rod, the new luxury personal watercraft for superyachts and megayachts unveiled by Strand Craft. Created by bespoke designer Kurt Strand, the Wet Rod features a 16-foot (4.9 m) carbon-fibre/epoxy hull powered by a 300‑hp 5.7‑litre V8 engine with a top speed of 65 mph (105 km/h). Custom options include wood and carbon finishes, bespoke paint and sound systems, and a chrome dress-up kit for the engine. The two-seat Wet Rod should be commercially available later this year, with prices starting at US$49,000. I bet James Bond is feeling pretty jealous.
