Former Aston Martin designer Henrik Fisker has unveiled the Thunderbolt concept car at the 2015 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance. The prototype features a completely redesigned carbon fiber body with meticulous interior detailing. Highlights include a skeleton chronograph clock by Swiss watchmaker Maurice Lacroix, an 11.6-inch curved Panasonic touchscreen, premium leather trim by Italian furniture maker Natuzzi, and a bespoke champagne and wine bottle holder.
“I wanted to create an elegant, beautiful GT sports coupe with pure emotional design that would remain timeless,” Fisker stated.
The Thunderbolt rides on 21-inch alloy wheels with a 15mm lower ride height than the stock Aston Martin Vanquish. Although positioned as a design study, Fisker and Galpin plan limited production of the vehicle.
