Swiss watchmaker Breitling enters the smartwatch market with the B55 Connected chronograph. Marketed as the “ultimate pilot’s instrument,” the B55 Connected features innovative aviation-focused functions including an electronic tachometer, countdown/countup timing system for sequential operations, and a “Chrono Flight” device that records flight times while capturing take-off time, landing time, and date. The luxurious Swiss-made smartwatch is housed in a titanium case with black carbon-based coating and connects to the Breitling mobile app via Bluetooth. Pricing and availability details will be announced at Baselworld 2015 next week.
