Audi has revealed the Prologue Allroad Concept ahead of its 2015 Shanghai Motor Show debut, and this thing is a beast. Under the hood sits a hybrid system pairing a 4.0 TFSI V8 twin-turbo with an electric motor integrated into the eight-speed automatic transmission. Together they produce 734 hp and a massive 663.8 lb-ft of torque.
The claimed numbers are just as wild. Audi says the concept will sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 3.5 seconds while emitting just 56g/km of CO2. That’s supercar speed with hybrid efficiency, and it makes you wonder how much of this setup will survive into production. Visually, the concept rides on 22-inch wheels and gets Matrix laser headlights, while the cabin is all angular lines and elegant surfaces swathed in dark blue, beige and brown. The original Audi Prologue concept of late 2014 also used a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 and 22-inch wheels.
