For the upcoming Only Watch charity auction, Vacheron Constantin unveiled a unique Métiers d’Art Mécaniques Ajourées piece. The 18K white-gold case measures 40 mm in diameter and 7.50 mm in thickness, and features a transparent sapphire crystal caseback. Created for the charity event, this one-off Métiers d’Art Mécaniques Ajourées showcases the full extent of the maison’s expertise in-house — including a red Grand Feu opaque enamelled external ring, openworked Roman numerals on an 18K gold ring, and an “Only Watch” openwork inscription on the 18K gold ring at 3 o’clock.

The timpiece is powered by the manually-wound openworked Calibre 4400SQ, developed and manufactured by Vacheron Constantin, with 21 jewels, beating at 4Hz (28’800 vibrations/hour) and a power reserve of 65 hours. The novelty is completed by a black Mississippiensis alligator leather strap with alligator leather inner shell, stitched-tip, large square scales with 18K white gold buckle.
