Fear of spiders, anyone? Inspired by Louise Bourgeois’s famous “Maman” sculpture, Swiss watchmaker MB&F unveiled its latest creation: a massive spider called Arachnophobia. The Arachnophobia can be displayed as a table clock or, thanks to a clever mounting system, as a wall clock. It is powered by an L’Épée in-house movement, beating at 18,000 bph (2.5 Hz) with 218 components and 11 jewels, and delivers an 8-day power reserve. Arachnophobia is available in black or 18k yellow gold–plated editions; Swiss retail prices are CHF 15,300 (approx. $15,806) for the black version and CHF 17,500 (approx. $18,079) for the gold-plated version.
