French luxury house Chanel unveiled at Baselworld 2016 its very first watch for men: the Monsieur de Chanel. Designed and manufactured completely in-house at the company’s assembly plant in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, the timepiece took five years to develop and features a minimalist 40mm gold case, and comes powered by Calibre 1. Limited to 150 beige gold and 150 white gold pieces, selling for $34,500 euros and $36,000, respectively. The brand has shared a registration page on its Web site to keep up-to-date, and will be available in Chanel’s boutiques and online beginning June 2.
