French luxury house Chanel unveiled its very first men’s watch at Baselworld 2016: the Monsieur de Chanel. Designed and manufactured entirely in-house at the company’s assembly plant in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, the timepiece took five years to develop. It features a minimalist 40mm gold case and is powered by Calibre 1. Limited to 150 beige gold and 150 white gold pieces, the watch sells for €34,500 and €36,000, respectively. The brand has created a registration page on its website to keep customers up-to-date. The watch will be available in Chanel boutiques and online beginning June 2.
