French sportswear brand Lacoste is temporarily replacing its iconic green crocodile logo with symbols of 10 endangered animal species, in favour of a very worthy cause. The new limited edition “Save Our Species” collection created in partnership with International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) will feature a total of 1,775 polo shirts – that corresponds to the remaining population sizes of the endangered animals believed to be currently in the wild. The endangered animals include the Vaquita dolphin, Burmese roofed turtle, Northern sportive lemur, Javan rhino, Cao vit gibbon, Kakapo parrot, California condor, the Saola, Sumatran tiger, and the Anegada ground iguana. Priced at 150€ each (approx. $183) sales of the shirts will go toward the organization’s efforts to protect endangered species. Any takers?
