Hispano Suiza, the historic car brand is making a grand return to the auto scene with a new electric supercar. Taking its name from Carmen Mateu, granddaughter of Hispano Suiza’s founder, the new car is inspired by the 1938 Dubonnet Xenia model, and will have a carbon-fibre monocoque body.

The car will be showcased during the upcoming Geneva Auto Show on March 7.

The Spanish automaker is already taking pre-orders for the car, so, at the very least, you can expect the Carmen to hit production soon.

Hispano Suiza isn’t the only Spanish name chasing automotive glory — the boutique brand Aspid built its own V8-powered statement with the GT-21 Invictus.
