The highly anticipated Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 sneakers designed by the late fashion designer Virgil Abloh will be auctioned at Sotheby’s. Created as an exclusive collaboration, these Air Force 1 sneakers are entirely crafted in calf leather, featuring Louis Vuitton’s signature Monogram and Damier patterns, with natural cowhide piping and styled with Abloh’s iconic quotation marks.
Ranging in sizes from 5 to 18, the renowned auction house confirmed that only 200 collectible pairs will be available through its auction. Each pair comes packaged in a Louis Vuitton pilot case in monogram-embossed orange leather.
This official Louis Vuitton x Nike partnership continues Abloh’s vision in sneaker design, building on the custom Air Jordan 1s from 2018 created by Ceeze to celebrate his appointment as creative director.
The auction will run from Wednesday, January 26, to Tuesday, February 8. Starting bids are $2,000, with all proceeds from the auction benefiting the Virgil Abloh “Post-Modern” Scholarship Fund, supporting Black fashion students.
