Italian luxury brand is set to open a new Gucci Osteria restaurant in Seoul’s vibrant Itaewon district. Gucci Osteria is a series of contemporary fine-dining establishments conceived by Michelin-starred chef Massimo Bottura in collaboration with close friend Marco Bizzarri, the President and CEO of Gucci. Introduced in Florence, Italy in January 2018, this is the third location outside of Italy following Beverly Hills, California in 2020, and Ginza, Tokyo in 2021.
Guests will be able to enjoy a menu that brings the cultures of both countries together, the signature Gucci Osteria dishes, as well as selection of specially created delicacies with Korean influences.
“There is an invisible thread that runs through each of the Gucci Osteria globally: One that entwines Italian food with the food and products of other great global cuisines. Korea — like Italy — embraces its food as part of its culture, and I’m so excited to welcome everyone to our Seoul outpost,” said Bottura on WWD.
The menus have been developed by acclaimed chef Massimo Bottura, in collaboration with with Michelin-starred Karime Lopez, Seoul executive chef Hyungkyu Jun and head chef Davide Cardellini.
Located at 223 Itaewon-ro, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, Gucci Osteria Seoul da Massimo Bottura which officially opens on March 28, is now accepting reservations online.
