Luxury fashion brand Gucci has partnered with will.i.am, former Black Eyed Peas frontman, on an innovative luxury smartband. Unlike conventional smartwatches, this device operates completely standalone and requires no smartphone connection.
According to Stéphane Linder, President and CEO of Gucci Timepieces: “Through this collaboration with i.am+ and will.i.am, Gucci Timepieces is embracing the future of wearable technology with a device that seamlessly blends fashion and advanced technological functionality.”
The smartband features a voice-activated personal assistant called “AneedA.” Official release date and pricing information will be announced at a later date.
