Pump Up the Volume – Swiss manufacturer Audemars Piguet pays tribute to the world of music introducing five new Royal Oak Offshore models. Available in 37 and 43 mm sizes and in different materials: two models in titanium, two in gemset 18-carat white gold and one in black ceramic, they all sporting a Tapisserie dial that serves as a background for the colourful equaliser/VU meter.
The new Royal Oak Offshore Music Editions are equipped with self-winding movements driving hours, minutes and seconds hands. The 37mm models are fitted with the latest calibre 5909 with a 60-hour power reserve while the 43mm models use the Caliber 4309 automatic with a 70-hour power reserve.
All models have a sapphire caseback revealing emblematic Haute Horlogerie decorations, the 37mm cases are water-resistant to 50 metres, while the 43mm are resistant to 100 metres.
Each watch features an interchangeable strap and includes three additional straps in yellow, green, and turquoise.
The price? In terms of pricing and availability, the two titanium models are limited to 500 pieces each and priced at £24,600 for 37mm and £26,700 at 43mm. The Black Ceramic is more exclusive, is limited to just 250 pieces and priced at £34,100. The white gold models aren’t limited editions but they are price on request.
Of the five references in the new AP Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Music Edition collection, my favourite is the Black Ceramic edition. Which one is your favourite? Let us know in the comments below. For More information be sure to visit Audemars Pigue’s website.
