Seiko Prospex introduced in collaboration with technical outerwear specialist Helly Hansen a new an all-black limited edition timepiece. Based on Seiko’s 1970 Mechanical Divers, better know as Willard model, the watch is housed in a H46.6mm × W42.7mm × D13.2mm stainless steel case and features a curved sapphire crystal glass with internal anti-reflective coating.
The dial also uses black color, with Helly Hansen’s logo at the six o’clock position, date at three o’clock, lumiBrite on hands, index(es) and bezel and flash yellow second hand.
Inside is the mechanical automatic winding caliber 6R35 beating at 21,600 vibrations/hour (6 vibrations/sec) with approx. 70 hours of power reserve.
On the back the watch is finished off with the Helly Hansen x Seiko Prospex Limited Edition text and serial number, as well as the specifications of the limited model.
Scheduled to be released in October 2022, the Seiko Prospex Helly Hansen SBDC181 is limited to just 500 pieces, drops as a Japan exclusive, and priced at 165,000JP¥ (approx. $1,155 USD).
