Say hello to the latest evolution of Richard Mille’s groundbreaking achievement: the RM 65-01 in Grey Quartz TPT. Sporting a fresh gray-colored case meticulously constructed from durable Carbon TPT and measuring 44mm by 49.9mm, the RM 65-01 maintains the characteristic Richard Mille style and materials, emanating a sense of athleticism through its techno-industrial movement finish, intricately designed skeletonized dial, and a vibrant array of indicators.
The dial consists of a skeletonised frame featuring chronograph counters and running seconds registers, elegantly positioned atop the movement. Despite the abundance of information showcased on the dial, the indications have been cleverly colour-coded: the time indication is highlighted in light blue; the chronograph minute and hour totalisers, at three and nine o’clock respectively, are highlighted in orange; while the date is in blue.
Dubbed as a “highly complex sports timepiece,” the luxurious timepiece is powered by the sophisticated RMAC4 skeletonized automatic winding movement, encompassing hours, minutes, and seconds at 6 o’clock, a date function, a split-seconds chronograph with a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock, a 12-hour counter at 9 o’clock, a function selector, a rapid winding mechanism, and a variable-geometry rotor.
Beating at a rapid frequency of 36,000 beats per hour (bph), the movement showcases a unique mainspring barrel rotation, completing a cycle every six hours rather than the more typical seven and a half. The power reserve duration will vary based on the extent of utilization of the chronograph functions, but an approximate duration of 60 hours can be anticipated.
Accompanied by a boldly ventilated integrated strap made of black rubber, the Richard Mille RM 65-01 Automatic Split Seconds Chronograph in gray quartz is available now exclusively through Richard Mille boutiques at an MSRP of $353,000.
